About the service

As Head of Unit, you will be responsible for your staff and the unit's budget and be a member of management and steering groups. You will also be responsible for meeting the increased demands on the unit's ability to deliver appropriate, value-creating and efficient management and further development of our IT delivery. You will also be responsible for the unit's recruitment and procurement of consultants.

The role of Head of Unit will include planning, implementing, monitoring and reporting back to the Head of Department on the work of the Unit. Furthermore, you are responsible for the unit's and contribute to the department's and division's operational development, planning and follow-up. The position will also involve acting as a change manager and, in collaboration with others, actively contributing to the development of more efficient working methods where necessary.

As Head of Unit, you will contribute to solving challenges related to staff management, budget management, resource planning and resource allocation for operational projects and management of the roles for which the unit is responsible.

The System Analysis Applications unit belongs to the Power System and Electricity Market IT department, which consists of 7 units with just over 150 employees.

About you

You have good cooperation skills and can work effectively in a team. You have a holistic approach and understand how different functions work together to achieve common goals. We are looking for people who work in a structured way and can handle complex tasks. You should also be able to handle stressful situations in a professional manner to deliver your best.

We are looking for you who have a college/university education of at least 120p/180hp, or equivalent education/work experience that Svenska kraftnät considers equivalent.

Furthermore, you have:

  • Experience in business management from organizations in change and growth.
  • Solid work experience in IT, preferably with a focus on management/development.
  • Solid understanding of the interaction between development projects, management and operations.
  • Experience with management models such as PM3, project management methodology such as PPS, ITIL framework.
  • Experience in management and monitoring, both financial and operational.
  • Management experience in an organization of at least 10 people and recent management experience with direct reports in IT management/development.
  • Very good oral and written communication skills in Swedish and English.

We consider it a merit if you have:

  • Experience in strategic planning.
  • Experience and knowledge of information and IT security work in complex environments.
  • Experience as a manager in organizations with high availability requirements and 24/7 operations.
  • Experience in agile working methods.

  • The position is located in Sundbyberg.
  • Possibility of teleworking up to 50% #LI hybrid.
  • A small amount of travel may be involved in this position, both within Sweden and Europe.
