About Vector Nordic

Vector Nordic provides travel agencies and tour operators with the necessary financial collateral to meet statutory requirements for travel guarantees. The company was founded by the Swedish Travel Agency Association, now the Swedish Travel Industry Association (SRF) in 2015. Vector has entered into a strategic cooperation with Gar-Bo Försäkring AB, where Gar-Bo acts as an insurer and Vector as an affiliated insurance intermediary.

Today, Vector is owned by SRF, Gar-Bo, and SRF's counterparts in Finland (SMAL) and Estonia (ETFL), as well as some seventy travel agencies in the Nordic region and Estonia. With a solid customer base of approximately 400 companies in all Nordic countries and a long-term cooperation with Gar-Bo, Vector has established itself as a significant player in the travel guarantee market. Organizationally, Vector consists of a CEO and a Portfolio Manager.

About the service

As CEO at Vector Nordic, you will have overall responsibility for the business, which means that you take the lead in finance, customers and have operational responsibility. 

The role gives you the opportunity to be a key player in the company's daily operations and strategic management. As an operational CEO, you will be directly involved in all aspects of the business. As we at Vector Nordic are a smaller company, you will have the opportunity to have a significant impact on the company's success and development.

You will have the opportunity to drive new sales and build long-term relationships with our customers. By actively networking and building trust, you will be key to expanding our customer base and increasing company revenue.

A key part of the role involves conducting financial analysis of both new and existing customers for new and renewal warranty insurance policies. Your ability to assess risks and make informed decisions will be crucial to Vector's success in the market.

You will be expected to report to the Board, and to present results, developments and future plans on a regular basis.

The main tasks of the position can be summarized as:

  • Overall responsibility for operations including finance and accounting.
  • Drive new sales and maintain existing customer contacts.
  • Conduct financial analysis of new and existing customers prior to underwriting.
  • Lead and develop the organization.
  • Reporting to the Board.

To succeed in the role

We are looking for someone with an academic background, preferably in finance, banking or insurance, who has at least 10 years of relevant work experience and is used to managing overall responsibility with full P&L responsibility. You should have experience in analyzing financial reports. You have experience working with different financial and CRM systems and using Excel. Experience in insurance brokerage/credit assessment is an advantage. Previous work in the travel industry can also be a plus. You must have good knowledge of Swedish and English both in speech and writing.
