Finance and admin manager for Åmells konsthandel

Åmells was founded in 1920 and is today a world leader in Scandinavian art. The gallery in Stockholm has long been an established meeting place for those who want to buy quality art. 

Åmells specializes in Scandinavian art from the 18th century to the present day, offering paintings, sculpture, photography and contemporary art. The gallery hosts a number of curated solo and group exhibitions of works for sale each year.

Your role

In the role of Finance and Admin Manager, you are the spider in the web for financial and administrative processes. You have varied responsibilities that include day-to-day accounting, budget and forecasting work, and financial analysis. In addition, you are responsible for suppliers with associated agreements. 

You will play a key role in the management team, working on issues such as planning and developing the company's marketing strategies.

The role of Finance and Admin Manager is varied and your responsibilities also include:

  • Finances of Åmells konsthandel with subsidiaries.
  • Taxes and VAT.
  • Goods storage system.
  • Business insurance.
  • Contact with auction houses.
  • Compliance with Åmell's anti-money laundering policy (Know Your Client, KYC) and GDPR.
  • Ordering and related administration for the transportation of objects.
  • Invoice management, both customer and supplier invoices.

In the Finance function, you will play a central role in an exciting international industry. Our office is located next to the gallery in central Stockholm and there are always colleagues to collaborate and socialize with.

Your profile

You should have an academic degree in finance (at least Bachelor's level) and at least 7 years of relevant work experience. You have very good knowledge and experience in overall financial work and processes, as well as experience in having overall responsibility for a finance function. 

We expect you to be familiar with Visma and Excel and have experience of actively working in these systems. You handle strategic and operational tasks with ease. You are fluent in Swedish and English in both speech and writing.

The tasks are both varied and essential to the business and we are looking for a person who takes on challenges with accuracy and structure. You analyze the current situation, learn from history and use this in your continued work. It is of great importance that you independently drive the work forward, solve the tasks that arise along the way and see opportunities.
