Byggvarubedömningen is now looking for its new CEO who, with enthusiasm and great commitment, wants to lead and develop the business with our fantastic employees and members. Byggvarubedömningen is a non-profit economic association that assesses and provides information on sustainability-assessed goods. Our vision is to promote the development of a non-toxic and good built environment that takes responsibility for both this and future generations. The majority of Byggvarubedömningen's activities are carried out within BVB Service AB, which is owned by the economic association.

Your role

As CEO, you are ultimately responsible for the operations of Byggvarubedömning. You will be expected to lead and develop the organization and its people. You should be comfortable leading a small growing business where both operational and strategic issues are to be handled, a driving and visionary task. You are also expected to contribute to increasing the visibility of Byggvarubedömningen externally and to help promote dialog with the industry. 

Byggvarubedömningen cooperates with actors throughout the construction production chain. This includes material suppliers, retailers of building materials, developers, property owners and others. As CEO, it is important to look at the needs of all stakeholders and work for continued fruitful cooperation.

A major part of the activity is to provide digital solutions for information on material assessed products and logbook tools used in construction. You should therefore be confident in IT matters.

Byggvarubedömningens activities have grown in recent years and gained a stronger position in sustainable construction. The interest in Byggvarubedömningens services is great and the number of members, assessments and logbooks is continuously increasing. As CEO, you will have an important role in the continued development for continued growth in the future. 

There are many avenues for the business to explore in its product offering and an important part will be to prioritize and choose the right offering to remain competitive while also forgoing other options.

The role is located at our office in Sundbyberg.

Main tasks:

  • Continue to manage and develop the Construction Products Assessment.
  • Help promote dialogue in the industry and increase the visibility of the Construction Products Assessment.
  • Ultimately responsible for the operation.

Your profile

We are looking for you with a relevant academic degree or equivalent with several years of experience from a similar industry or organization. You have experience in strategic development, understanding of IT/digital development and experience of working with business development. You are an experienced leader who has previously had manager-over-manager responsibility and budget responsibility. Byggvarubedömningen is growing and we see that you have previously led a growing organization. You are a communicative leader, both internally and externally.

Experience of sustainability issues, member-driven activities and a role as CEO is an advantage.

We see that you feel a great commitment to push for a sustainable construction industry to credibly promote Byggvarubedömningens values. You are a relationship builder who is a curious and driven leader who will be a spokesperson for the business. You are a flexible, confident and down-to-earth person with an understanding of working in a small member-driven organization. Expansion, development and visibility in the industry will be driving forces.
