CEO of Norrtälje Energi

We are currently seeking a CEO for Norrtälje Energi, a municipally owned energy company responsible for electricity and fiber-optic networks, district heating, and energy services in the municipality of Norrtälje. The company has a long history and operates in an industry characterized by change, where sustainability, electrification, and technological development are key priorities.

Norrtälje Energi is part of the municipal group, with its own board of directors and close collaboration with other companies and functions within the municipality. The business is well-established and poised for continued growth, with a need to adapt to changing market conditions and technical requirements.

The Assignment

We are seeking a business- and development-oriented CEO to lead and further develop Norrtälje Energi in a rapidly evolving energy sector. You will have overall responsibility for the business and ensure that the company achieves its goals through stable operations, sound financial management, and a clear focus on sustainability and regulatory requirements.

You will drive business development across the company’s operational areas and monitor and implement developments in the energy, fiber, and electricity markets. As CEO, you will lead through your management team and be responsible for setting the direction, fostering a shared vision, and ensuring effective collaboration within the organization. The role also involves close collaboration with the board of directors, owners, and other stakeholders within the municipal group to advance community development.

Qualifications

• Relevant academic background
• Experience in the energy sector or related technically complex fields
• Experience in a senior management position, such as CEO, business unit manager, or a similar role
• Experience in business development and change management
• Extensive experience in managing staff
• Experience working in a politically governed organization is a plus
