As a Senior Group Accounting Specialist at SSAB, you will play an important role in a transforming and growing business with real opportunities to influence the success of the Group Accounting team. In the position as Senior Group Accounting Specialist you will be based in Stockholm or Helsinki, report to the Head of Group Accounting and be a part of the Group Finance team.
Your main tasks will include, among other things, supporting accounting managers in the 5 divisions within the SSAB Group, run and lead projects at group level.
Your responsibilities include a broad spectrum of tasks on both a strategic and a more hands-on level. Your main tasks include project management of the financial reports in the annual report, accounting information for the parent company in SSAB, participation in monthly, quarterly and annual accounts and annual report according to IFRS. You will also be participating in the budget and forecast processes, legal reporting and IFRS and supporting the organization in accounting-related matters. The position also includes continuous development and improvement of routines and processes as well as questions regarding internal control. You will participate in projects within the company’s transformation journey towards fossil-free steel and be involved in developing new reporting methods, new reports and in the processes of changes in finance related systems.
- Minimum 8 years of experience of consolidation and deep knowledge in IFRS.
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or equivalent.
- Strong analytical mindset and good understanding of performance measurements.
- SSAB is using SAP, MS Office and Aaro, therefore it is a plus if you have experience in these systems.
- You are a self-propelled, social team player with a down-to-earth attitude and networking skills.
- You work proactive and are flexible.
- You are a professional at identifying and initiating projects and tasks to improve your area of responsibility.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Very good ability to express yourself in English, written and spoken (English is the group language).
