Stockholm We are seeking a strategic, forward-looking Executive Director to lead the implementation of a new strategy, set a clear direction, and drive operational leadership in an international knowledge organization with high quality and societal impact. The role includes representing the organization at the international level and uniting a global leadership team around a shared mission.
In the role of Executive Director, you will play a central role in:
- Lead the implementation of a new strategy and unite the global leadership team.
- Ensure high-quality research, administration, financial management and communications.
- Foster global partnerships and act as the primary spokesperson in key forums and policy discussions.
- Drive fundraising and new funding acquisition, and oversee day-to-day operations for excellence, operational efficiency, and financial stability.
We are looking for someone with an advanced degree (preferably a PhD) and at least ten years of leadership experience in research, policy, academia, or international organizations. You have a proven ability to lead international teams, secure significant funding (grants, donations, or partnerships), and translate complex research into clear insights for decision-makers, funders, and the media. You communicate fluently in Swedish and English and lead with clarity, integrity, and a collaborative approach in complex, global contexts.
